The Ctrl2Cap utility is a great device driver to have if you are used with the UNIX style keyboards. The application will convert the caps lock characters into control characters. To run the program, just install it using the ctrl2cap /install command. The way it works is attach itself to the default keyboard driver to catch and read the requests from the keyboard. If the request is a caps lock, it will automatically convert it to a left control.
